Club Guidelines & Etiquette

Please remember no funny mic's, noise making devices, dial tones, or roger beep are permitted on the repeater. We want to be mindful of individuals using hearing aids and besides that they're annoying. Please remember to be courteous to others. Excessive foul language will not be tolerated. This is a family-oriented repeater. Please refrain from foul language and other things inappropriate for chihldren who may be listening. When possible, please request a radio check instead of just continuously keying the mic. Call sign must be used at the beginning of your transmission and when ending your transmission.

  1. Identification Protocol:

During conversations, avoid hogging the frequency. Allow time between transmissions (3-4 seconds) for other members to join your conversation or emergency traffic to break in. Please state your call sign and name, so that fellow stations can identify the speaker.

  2. Frequency Etiquette:

Only respond to stations who provide their call sign. Do not engage with unidentified stations. Please report any unauthorized stations. A time and date would help Repeater control rewind the recording and go to that specific time and date.

  3. Respectful Communication

Maintain a respectful tone, refraining from the use of offensive language, discussions related to religion, or politics. Always show courtesy to fellow club members.

  4. Seek Assistance:

If you encounter any issues, promptly contact Repeater Control or a Moderator for assistance.

  5. Confidentiality:

Do not share the PL/DCS tones with anyone, including family members. This offense will have you removed from the club.

  6. Noise Making Devices:

The use of any noise making device is prohibited. Please turn off your roger beep and any dial tones when using this repeater.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can ensure an enjoyable experience for all Club Members. Failure to comply may result in removal from the club without warning. We are all here to enjoy this hobby.
